Lend
Me a Tenor |

-
Lend Me a Tenor, set
exclusively in a Cleveland hotel room, debuted
on Broadway in 1989. Chaos and comedy rule
from the start of the show, as the owner of a
local theatre and his noble cronie realize
that their Italian tenor superstar Tito
Morelli is nowhere to be found two hours
before curtain time. More tribulations arise
as this one resolves, including apparent
suicide, mistaken identities, and ardent vocal
interludes.
