Choreographer Brook Dickerson
Brook Dickerson, a native of Las Vegas, began her dance training at an early age and graduated as a dance major from the Las Vegas Academy. Mrs. Dickerson attended Brigham Young University with a dance talent scholarship and performed and toured with the BYU Dancers' Company for 5 years. While a student at BYU, Mrs. Dickerson taught beginning and intermediate jazz classes for the University and was an assistant teacher in social dance and modern dance classes. Brook received awards for dance teaching and performing and was honored her senior year as the sole recipient of the Leona Holbrook citation and scholarship. Mrs. Dickerson is especially grateful for the unique experiences she has had to perform and guest teach in many places including China, the Philippines, Korea and India as well as many cities in the United States. She has also guest taught at multiple summer workshops and presented on how to effectively teach dance concepts at an annual UDEO workshop for all dance teachers in Utah. Mrs. Dickerson enjoyed her six years of teaching dance in public education and most recently was a faculty member of the Las Vegas Academy of International Studies, Performing and Visual Arts teaching in the dance department.

Designer
Shirley Evans Having served as properties designer for seven consecutive years, Shirley Evans plays a vital role at the Poplar Pike Playhouse. She has created props for such shows as Children of Eden, Lend Me
a Tenor, Crazy For You, Crow and Weasel, Brave Navigator, Seussical, The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Mrs. Bob Cratchit's Wild Christmas Binge, Ragtime and Forty Second Street. Mrs. Evans has been an active Playhouse supporter since 1995. She has assisted with the construction of properties on Twelve
Months, The Sound of Music, All in the Timing, The
Music Man, Fools, Pippin, Rumors, Rags, Brave Navigator, Show Boat, Seussical, The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. She also
made costumes and helped with properties for The
Theatre Factory. Her son, Dustin, was active both
on-stage and behind-the-scenes during his four years
at Germantown High School. |

Joe Haslwanter Joe Haslwanter brings 21 years of experience to the Poplar Pike Playhouse, having worked on such productions as West Side Story, Oklahoma!,
Annie Get Your Gun, Guys and Dolls, The Wizard of
Oz, Yankee Doodle Dandy, and countless others. He first served as technical director for the Playhouse's productions of Lend Me a Tenor, Crazy for You, Crow and Weasel, Show Boat, Brave Navigator, Seussicl, The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Ragtime and Forty Second Street. |

Jack House A University of Memphis graduate, Mr. House has been teaching in the Memphis City and Shelby County School systems for the past 40 years. In his time at GHS, Mr. House has devoted his time and skills to the Poplar Pike Playhouse productions of Children of Eden, Lend Me a
Tenor, Crazy For You, Crow and Weasel, Show Boat, Brave Navigator, Seussical, The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Ragtime and Forty Second Street. Mr. House has many set
carpentry credits outside of the PPP including South
Pacific, Annie Get Your Gun and Aunt Mame. |

Ernest Newbern
Ernest Newbern is no stranger to the
Poplar Pike Playhouse production staff. He has designed the
make-up for numerous shows at the PPP including Oklahoma!,
The Nerd, Once On This Island, Twelve Months, The
Sound of Music, All in the Timing, The Music Man,
Fools, Pippin, Rumors, Rags, Night Sky, South
Pacific, The Imaginary Invalid, Crow and Weasel, Show Boat, Brave Navigator, Seuessical, The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Ragtime and Forty Second Street. Mr. Newbern's acting credits include local and regional commercials and performances at Theatre Memphis, Circuit Playhouse and the Overton Park Shell. |

Consultant
Brenda Bluestein
A graduate of White Station High School, Brenda Bluestein attended the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Missouri at Columbia. She graduated and received her master's degree at the University of Memphis with a post-graduate endorsement in educational administration and supervision. Mrs. Bluestein is currently the head of school at Bornblum Solomon Schechter School. She is the former principal of Germantown Elementary School, where she previously has served as a special education instructor and curriculum coordinator. She has also worked as a fashion consultant for Barbette's Bridal and Formal Salon. Mrs. Bluestein has designed costumes for over thirty productions at the Playhouse since 1977. Under her guidance and direction, Germantown High School has amassed one of the most comprehensive costume inventories in the nation. Mrs. Bluestein was named Teacher of the Year at Germantown Elementary School for two consecutive years. She was also honored by the Shelby County School System with a Distinguished Service Citation in 1987 and was chosen as a finalist for a distinguished teaching award by the Shelby County Education Association. |
